    Milton Memorial Birthing Center (MMBC) is located in Flowersview, Florida (a small community in Walton county in the Florida Panhandle). MMBC provides a safe birthing option for women of low-risk status who either cannot afford the cost of a hospital delivery or who prefer care that is more natural and noninvasive.
    MMBC is a Florida birth center that services low-risk women from Walton, Okaloosa, Escambia, Santa Rosa, Holmes, Washington and Bay counties (in Florida) and from Covington and Geneva counties (in Alabama). Care is predominately given by Florida midwives.

Postpartum Depression - Counseling Resources
  • Jennifer Masino, PsyD (Clinical Psychology)
    Jennifer J. Sillence Masino, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist specializing in Adult Clinical Psychology. She has a special interest in counseling mothers dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety issues. Jennifer is also experienced in counseling moms who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or loss of an infant or young child. She is one of the only counselors in this area I've found who is willing, knowledgeable and compassionate enough to work with a mom who has lost a child after birth. In addition to her clinical experience, Jennifer is also a mom to two young children - bringing an even deeper understanding of the ups and downs of life with small children.


    She completed an APA approved predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at Wilford Hall Medical Center Lackland AFB, Texas. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where she researched cross-cultural issues in psychology. She has doctor of psychology and master's degrees in both psychology and social work. Her graduate work in Social Work emphasized the affect of gender, race, cultural and other environmental factors on patient issues. She earned her bachelor of science in psychology from Florida State University. She was a Clinical Psychologist on Active Duty with the United States Air Force for over 8 years, seeing a variety of issues including crisis intervention, trauma, grief, occupational problems, depression, and anxiety.
